Incredible Selection of Cars one of the best car museums in the country with the exception of the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan !
I brought my little daughter here during a weekday and she loved it! It was so fun to watch her face light up in awe at the fish that were larger than she was swimming so close to her. She loved the penguins as well. We will go back as there was still so much we did not get to see!
I loves seeing all the new and classic cars, would 110% recommend going to the vault!
This is such a fun day out! We opted to only go for the regular ticket, not the volt as well due to time, but next time we go, we plan to do that too! If you’re a film fan, this is a real treat. I loved the original Batmobile and one of the Delorean's from Back To The Future. There was even a class going on that you could walk into, on car design, which was very neat. They had a Lightning McQueen and Sally Carrera from Cars, and a storyboard of the town they were inspired by and the real people that influenced the characters. Also loved that in the parking lot, there were several prop cars too, like the vehicle from Jurassic Park. A super fun day!
As a huge car fan weirdly didn't love love it but super enjoyed my time. I think most people would appreciate that it's somewhat focused on famous and fictional film vehicles.
Best museum by far, great cars! Fun and exciting place to visit!
Had a great time at this museum, it is very clean, peaceful and informative. There are 3 floors, and you start from the third and make yourself to the first one. I highly recommend it to people who enjoy history, adventure, and vehicles .
Amazing exhibits. Super fun place to visit.
Never been inside but they treat us well for special occasions.
I just watched a Discovery Channel program called “Back to The DeLorean: Time Machine Rescue” where a team of mechanics restore the original DeLorean car used in the Back to the Future movies. They did a great job and I hope to see it in person one day at the Petersen Auto Museum!
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, but this place is definitely a landmark. Will be wonderful when all the construction is finally done.
We went to visit on 9/26/2020 in the afternoon because was stated online that they were open just to be told by the security guard that seemed to hate his job that they were closed. Wasted gas and effort, maybe next time be more professional and update your info online!
This was my first time going to LA walk and I gotta say it's pretty cool. They don't have anything like this where I'm from(DMV area) so this was all new to me. I like how they have artists actually creating the paintings while you're walking by. They have food and and a lot of artistic visuals that artist have created throughout. I'd recommend anyone to go visit for the experience. Also check out the last book store.
For years now my girlfriend and I have been visiting the DTLA Art Walk every second Thursday of the month. It's awesome, it's free and it's a great way to spend some time away from technology and our phones and spend some time looking at art!
A lot of cool cars. They change them out every so often. The museum itself isn’t too big and you might go through it quickly if you’re not stopping at every car. The vault tour is interesting and if you’re into the history of cars, they have great tour guides. I was hoping to see the cars that were a little more modern but we spent the majority of a 1.5 hr tour looking at cars that were from the 50s and older. A lot of interesting cars in the vault though. Also no pictures in the vault
THE best car museum you will ever go to! My beautiful wife surprised me with a private tour of "The Vault" and it was amazing. We saw one of a kind cars from all over the spectrum. This is the car museum that others aspire to be.
I took my girl here for her birthday and we both had a good time. I rented the $5 tripod and it was a great investment because we were able to take all of our shots together. There is no time limit so you can be there as long as you'd like. We didn't feel rushed because we went on a day where it was raining so we were there for a little over an hour.
If you love cars, the Petersen Automotive Museum can’t be missed. Inside this stunning structure is an extensive collection of cars, some of which date as far back as 1886. There are modern cars and motorcycles, too. Some exhibits are permanent, while others are temporary. For an extra fee, you can take a tour of the private vault, where you’ll see rare collectibles.
Amazing collection of vehicles! Delightful to see the originals which I have seen in movies over the years.
One of the highlights of my bus trips to los angelos. Hope they re open soon
The entire staff is professional and loves my dog almost as much as I do. Wonderful people, from the welcoming entrance, resort, Veteran's and TJ the outstanding groomer. Macy, my Goldendoodle gets excited when I tell her she is going to see TJ. 🐕🐾👅💖👏👏👏
Absolutely loved my visit here to see the Tesla Cybertruck! Thank you Petersen Museum!
Amazing collection of vehicles! Delightful to see the originals which I have seen in movies over the years.
Awesome experience seeing so many cool and unique automobiles, especially the Cybertruck in person! The museum definitely made sure everyone was practicing social distancing and enforcing face coverings. Very friendly staff. Hoping to visit them again after reopening is safe!
One of the best auto museums. Used to go at least once a year when I lived in OC.
Tesla Cybertruck! Must see
Presumably it was really good, tickets were sold out and we couldn't get in. We were going to see the Cybertruck.
Great place for the whole family lots of fun cars to see
Amazing!!!!!!!!!! A great field trip location. I learned so much. Look forward to a return trip next time I'm in the state.
Amazing collection!!
Just went back after the remodel and wow! A lot of new exhibits, beautiful cars and bikes that I hadn't seen before and as always the historical notes are a great treat.
Amazing Place for a Car Enthusiast Like My Self...
Very interesting and well rounded museum, almost every vehicle in the museum has a story behind it and there are so many cars from very famous movies that are just a marvel to look at, the only problem I've had with this museum is the restaurant within the inside with incredibly high prices with the quality of the food, I would suggest walking around the area and finding a restaurant nearby to get better quality with around half the price.
Awesome place with lots of classic and modern cars. Many are from famous movie sets. Best part for me was the electric collection. Cybertruck (this week only), Bollinger B1, Tesla Roadster v1, VW Buzz and more! Parking was convenient.
Tesla cybertruck is super hot 🔥 😍 OMG
The Star Wars Nightlife event was great. The drink selection wasn't that good but they have several stations to help with the lines. Lots of lights and music with employees in costumes helped add energy to this event. I would pay extra to have a buffet area as a better option to the cafeteria food. Even having a special band or drink tickets to give to roving bartenders would add more vibe to this event. Special event parking in the garage is $20. A good event.
Beautiful place great staff kind and graciously ask that everyone wear masks. So much cool stuff to see, the minimalist designs at the end of the exhibit were mind bending. Cool stuff ! 😎
The Peterson Museum reopened on Friday, and are exhibiting an amazing assortment of vehicles from Sci-Fi movies and TV. They will also have the Cybertruck there until June 26th.
One of my favorite museums of all times! There's always something cool to see & be inspired by. Changing exhibits & educating the public. Can I take something for a test drive next time? ;)
Fantastic car musuem with great exhibits and the rotation of movie prop cars makes each trip interestingv
This is truly a great museum, you start on the 3rd floor and work your way down. You see a representation of every generation of car, from Karl Benz's motor trike to Herby. And not just production cars, several one of one cars made and concept cars from the past, including the concept car for the Tesla model S. The movie cars are amazing as well, I will become a member shortly!
If your parents are in town and you’re looking for something to do I have no doubt they will enjoy visiting this museum — AND YOU WILL TOO. Fantastic cars from throughout history, racing cars, movie cars, the list goes on.
This place is amazing. Our vault tour guide was perfect. He knew so much about every car it blew my mind. My brother took me to this amazing place for some amazing memories. Thank you BRO!!! If you are a car guy and you are in the LA area get your butt to this place.
Great variety in exhibits. Great events. Love the Vault - definitely go see it.
A must when you visit LA, great place and lots of diferent vehicles!
Great way to spend on a rainy day or if you are a fan of cars!
A very interesting museum. A must for car fans. They have a mix of historical vehicles, famous movie vehicles (Back to the future, batman, little miss sunshine, lighting mcqueen), fancy expensive vehicles, and random cars made and decorated with certain themes in mind. This was Adam's choice because he loves cars. I enjoyed myself too even though I'm not into cars. I loved the interactive VR experience and the Forza video game demo trial. Those were highlights for me because it's the only real interaction you can have with the vehicles. The museum is big but you can easily complete it in a couple of hours. Big bags aren't allowed inside. The price for adults is 16$. We only saw the main exhibits but that's still lots of vehicles! They also had a Buggatti special exhibit while we were there. Visited December 19 2017
Been here too many times to count, have had a membership with a buddy for a few years. The rotating exhibits are always awesome, there's always something new to see and everyone is helpful and polite. I'll continue to come back again and again!
This place is a gem. All of the staff are very friendly and it's so well kept. I'm sure we'll be back.
Top class museum with a nice restaurant. On par with the BMW museum in Munich. Great for movie fans and nostalgia buffs. Different from your average car museum with many customs, concept cars and even motorbikes.
